Before buying your EL wire and/or rope lights, be sure to price at vendors that offer discounts to Burners. You can get a 20% discount at some of the places listed here (I even saw lasers at one shop):
PS: I'll try to provide some extra lasers to play with on the playa so that we can see how they look at night, and help determine if we can implement all the small lasers in future iterations...

ReplyDeleteJust figured out how to post.
Sorry for the design change to ELWire, but I think it will be necessary to meet cost targets, and to yield the visual effect that we are after.
The ELWire segments should have some rigid support to follow such that they look "laser straight".
Main laser should arrive in a week or two. I'll begin working on the cooling/housing and a backup laser.
